The team at UnionDerm is pleased to offer the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) cosmetic fellowship program designed to promote post-residency training in cosmetic dermatology. The 12-month fellowship takes place at UnionDerm in New York City, and offers advanced training in one of dermatology’s fastest growing areas.

The Fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology at UnionDerm trains fellows to become expert practitioners, innovators and teachers in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology. Fellows will be exposed to and learn how to perform a breadth of procedures across the discipline, including the use of fillers, neuromodulators, biostimulatory agents and the wide variety of lasers available to treat both the cosmetic patient as well as a variety of dermatologic diseases. In addition, fellows will conduct clinical research throughout the year and will learn how to design, perform and present clinical research studies. Finally, the fellow will actively be involved in educating medical students, residents and nurses on multiple Cosmetic Dermatology topics.

Our fellowship program is fully accredited by the ASDS and is open to exceptional candidates who have successfully completed their medical dermatology residency. The application process for fellows to join our program is highly selective and offers the opportunity to learn from a team of world-class physicians who continue to advance the state-of-the-art in medical and cosmetic dermatology practice. In addition to working with Dr. Anne Chapas, our medical director, fellows will gain experience working alongside doctors Jennifer MacGregor, Jennifer Chwalek, and Robyn Gmyrek, who are all eager to share their experience and help develop the next generation of outstanding dermatologists.

We participate in the Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship Match Program. This allows applicants to visit and evaluate programs in a systematic fashion without the pressure of making a commitment before the evaluation process is completed. Please note, fellowship applicants will be required to have completed an ACGME-approved or DO-affiliated dermatology residency program in the United States or a similar program in Canada accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

We are happy to announce the selection of Dr. Pooja Rambhia as our 2023-2024 fellow!

We are not accepting applications for the 2024-2025 academic year.

If you are a second year dermatology resident in the United States who is considering applying for our 2025-26 fellowship, please email us at fellowship@unionderm.com to request a rotation. Note: applicants should include their CV in the email and must show a willingness to participate in an academic project.
